Latent Wines pays homage to a few things. The word latent has multiple uses, definitions, and contexts, many of which speak to me on a personal level. As a photographer, I am struck by the beauty that a camera captures and what may be brought to beautiful actuality through processing. Naked to the eye, what light creates nestles in its latent state until the photographer makes it visible. There's a similarity between photography and winemaking that the sun does all the hard work. The photographer and winemaker endeavor to guide the hidden nature of that impression to light.
